At the age of 5 I received my first guitar for Christmas. From the first time I was able to play a complete song “In My Life”, I realized the power of a song. Both in myself playing, and the reaction of the people listening.
Since this experience I have been obsessed with the bliss that a song can bring. This led me to playing and performing with my friends throughout my childhood. I also studied from great teachers Michael Lassiter and Guy Van Duser, who helped me grow my musical abilities and open my mind to the possibilities of what the guitar could do and beyond.
When I was in 7th grade I had a homework assignment in Spanish class to come up with an original song about everyday household items. We were supposed to just sing the song for the class, but I had a vision of a greater production. So instead I played an mp3 of a Garageband recording where I played drums, bass, guitar, and sang my song into my laptop mic. I think I still got a B because my spanish was pretty bad, but I instinctively knew even then the potential and limitless possibilities of recording.
During High School I moved from Charlotte, NC to the Boston area. Which was tougher than I expected because I had lost all the musical friends and connections that had brought me to that point. Thankfully music helped me through the times I felt alone, and helped me make more friends who I quickly started playing in bands with. We started playing shows around town (mostly 3pm matinees at The Middle East), and got to record 2 EPs. These first experiences in a “real recording studio,” helped me tangibly see how to take a band playing a song and make it into a record. And put me in the trenches to realize the level of detail and determination required to create art that lives up to your own standards.
For my undergraduate education I attended the Music Industry Studies program at Loyola University New Orleans. This allowed me to learn about all aspects and roles within the music business. I graduated with a concentration in music technology, and found myself gravitating towards audio in both the studio and live venues.

With internships at One Eyed Jack’s and The Parlour recording studio, I got the first hand industry experience I needed to learn how to carry myself as a music industry professional.
After graduation at Loyola I moved to Seattle, where I quickly wanted to advance my studio knowledge even farther. So I enrolled in the audio engineering program at Seattle Recording Arts. Here I gained the technical mastery of engineering essentials like Pro Tools, analog consoles, and getting hands on experience recording, mixing, and mastering. After graduation I started working as a freelance engineer at Orbit Audio, working on projects for a variety of clients of the studio. As well as working on my own productions with friends and collaborators.
At the same time I was developing my studio skills at Seattle Recording Arts, I was making connections in the live sound world in Seattle as well. This led to working as a sound tech at Chop Suey and a year later at Neumos/ Barboza. The year after this, I was promoted to the Audio Lead at Chop Suey. Working hundreds of live shows helped me realize how to capture a performance quickly and accurately to standards of the artist, and then enhance it from there.
This led me to working with bands doing FOH as well. Seattle rock band MONSTERWATCH asked me to be their Front of House engineer after a few of great experiences working together. Being FOH for a band whose music I loved helped me combine my love for crafting a bands sound in the studio with my knowledge of live sound. This led to some great shows in late 2019 and early 2020 culminating in an opening slot for The Distillers in front of a sold-out crowd at Showbox SoDo in Seattle.
In October 2020 MONSTERWATCH and I recorded a three song EP that I mixed as well.
New single “Lick the Wall,” out now !
